Meet the ausTIN CANs

2016 team at the end of build season

Boasting a 2016 roster of over 30 students and a dozen mentors with 88 alumni, the ausTIN CANs have competed in FIRST Robotics Competition regional and championship events since 2007, helped foster other rookie Austin-area FRC teams, and become a crucial part of Austin's high school robotics culture.

What is FIRST?

Our mission is to inspire and reach out to young people to become leaders in math, science, and engineering by including them in mentor-supported programs that strengthen skills in math, science, and engineering, that expands innovation, and promotes life sustaining attributes including perseverance, communication, and leadership.
