Austin Robot Roundup
Saturday, February 20 at 10:00am to 5:00pm
Anderson High School Cafeteria
8403 Mesa Drive, Austin TX, 78759
The ausTIN CANs are hosting the 9th annual Austin Robot Roundup – end of build season practice event for central Texas teams!
Let us know if your team is interested and can join us by RSVPing HERE by Thursday, February 18th!
Please feel free to link this page to any FIRST supporters who may be interested.
What to expect
We will have a wooden team version playing field (we hoped to initially have a more true-to-life field, but the materials were too costly) and boulders available for practice. Let us know if there is anything you would like to contribute to the event; we have one of each defense, a tower, and one human player station with embrasures, but would love to round things out to have a full field set.
The Austin Robot Roundup will be a great opportunity for practice for drivers, in addition to providing lots of interaction and assistance from other teams. Most of the day the field will be open for basic practice and testing, though if enough teams are ready we may attempt a few scrimmage matches in the afternoon.
We will also have tours of our new Applied Technology Center available.
What to Bring
Your robot and team, of course! Bring along any tools or parts you need, however, we will do our best to help you out with whatever you need!
10am to 12pm Open Field Practice
12pm to 1pm Lunch Break
1pm to 5pm Open Field Practice, Possible Scrimmage Rounds
Please RSVP HERE by Thursday, February 18th so we know how many pit spaces to prepare!
Best wishes during your last week of build! We look forward to seeing you at Austin Robot Roundup!
