The program that Anderson Robotics offers a hands-on perspective to the fields of engineering, web design, advertising, leadership, and team building. It picks up where traditional education leaves off, and carries students forward into the next generation of technology. While in a traditional classroom students normally how learn to crunch numbers or analyze word problems, often there is very little that teachers do to give their students a practical application of these skills. This is exactly where robotics comes in.

Students can use their abilities and interests to work towards a very concrete goal: the construction of a competitive robot system. Despite what many think, a successful robotics program is not tailored purely to those that are mathematically inclined. Due to the fact that the operation of the team hinges on the generous support of private, government, and corporate groups, students skilled in public speaking, writing, and advertising are paramount to the program. Students that have a great artistic inclination are also key helpers in many fundraising events, whether it be designing T-Shirts, competition banners, or creating web graphics.

In these ways students can build upon their pre-existing skill sets in an enjoyable way. As if that wasn't enough incentive consider this: Being part of an award-winning robotics team looks great on any college transcript.
