CANs host FIRST Austin District event

It’s a momentous year, as we move to District model for FRC competition.

Anderson High hosted the FIRST Austin District event during Week 1 of the FRC competition season. More details to come soon, but WOW.

We were so honored to be the hosts for 36 great teams to come and play. We had the cooperation of so many people, from our school community to the local and national volunteers, to the teams that came to play and stayed to clean up. Many thanks. You made it not only possible, but enjoyable.

The weekend ended with success for our team as well. We were chosen to be on the 5th Alliance, and we faced some tough elimination rounds. We finished as Tournament Finalists, losing in a tiebreaker Final match that was intensely exciting. The CANs were also awarded the Judges’ Award, which is quite an accomplishment.
